Dr. Yossi Saadon is manager of the Finance Department in the Bank of Israel Research Division and chairman of the Steering Committee of the Financial Stability Committee. Saadon began his career in the Bank of Israel as an economist in the Financial Stability Sector in the Research Division. He was later a Bank of Israel spokesman and then a representative of the State of Israel on the Board of Directors of the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), and the private investments arm of the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC). He has also served as an external advisor to the Monetary Fund.
He has a B.A. in economics and business management and post-graduate and doctorate degrees from Ben Gurion University, resides in Beersheva, and for many years has been a lecturer in economics, financing, mathematics, and statistics in institutions of higher education (Ben Gurion University, the Sapir Academic College, and others).
