Swords of Iron War- Israel Securities Authority Updates

 Since the beginning of the Swords of Iron War the Israel Securities Authority (ISA) has been closely monitoring the capital market in order to identify and resolve any failures. At the same time, the ISA is developing actions and reliefs that are needed by its supervised entities, while safeguarding the interests of the investor public.

The ISA Staff has been in constant contact with the supervised entities and their representatives in order to ensure that they maintain functional continuity, especially with respect to services to their customers, and in order to identify the reliefs they need to cope with the challenges that the current situation poses. On the basis of these discussions and other factors, the ISA approved a series of reliefs on, the main ones are:

· Three-month extension to shelf prospectuses scheduled to expire in the near future;

· Extensions to the dates and deadlines defined in the Companies Law, including a three-month extension to external directors’ term of service subject to a decision by the board of directors (status: legal memorandum has been published for public comments);

· One-month extension to reporting corporations on the deadline for publishing their Q3 reports;

· Postponement of the submission date of quarterly reports by licensed corporations and portfolio management firms.

ISA Staff continues to monitor the market and track the activities and needs of the capital market and provide professional service and rapid responses to all market actors, and specifically to its supervised entities. We urge the investor public to continue to act in a responsible, prudent manner, adopt a long-term view, and avail themselves of the services of licensed professionals.

On behalf of the entire team at the ISA, we extend our deep condolences to the grieving families who have lost loved ones, and we express our support for Israel’s defense forces and all the people of Israel.

Below are the main reliefs. The complete, official and binding publications are published on the Hebrew website
